About Us

Creative Library Concepts (CLC) is a full service firm specializing in the design, sale and installation of library furnishings. Founded in 1993, we have decades of experience working with libraries and their architects to design and furnish their spaces.

We are an authorized dealer for more than 100 different manufacturers of shelving and furniture, most of whom hold approved state and cooperative purchasing state contracts. Our team includes sales professionals, design coordinators, project managers and installers, all of whom work together to deliver our clients a complete turn-key solution.

Project Consulting

From the earliest stages of a project, the CLC team can help with planning your project in terms of collection capacity, FF&E budget, space planning and schedule. Engaging our team early in the process allows us to help you plan for the latest developments in shelving, furniture and technology.

Design & Finish Selection

CLC employs full-time library design professionals who work with libraries and their architects to help design and program library spaces. We can assist with everything from determining the optimal shelving layout to the specification of all furnishings and finishes in the library.

Project Management

Our project managers work with our clients after an order is placed to manage all aspects of the delivery and installation process. We work closely with owners, architects, construction managers, general contractors and other trades to ensure that aspects of the project are carefully coordinated.

Field Coordination

We fully understand the importance of visiting our customers’ libraries to confirm site measurements, take photos and document existing field conditions whenever possible. We do this to ensure as seamless an installation process as possible.

Delivery & Installation

CLC provides a highly experienced team of installers who work to deliver and install your shelving and furniture in the most professional and timely way possible. We understand that the experience that you have with our installers is one of the most important relationships that you will have with our firm, and we have assembled our team accordingly.

Moving Services

Our clients often require moving services beyond shelving and furniture. CLC can help with everything from the book move to the relocation or disposal of existing shelving or furniture.

Warehousing

CLC has warehouse space in all the states in which we operate in which we can store existing or new shelving or furniture before it is ready to be installed. We offer up to 90 days of storage at no charge depending on the size of the furniture order.
